| For new shops, or retailers who prefer
consignment to wholesale purchase, we offer a simple plan.
It's a wonderful chance to make exceptional profits with no up-front
cost or risk to you. Frankly, we'd rather have our CDs on your shelves
than in our warehouse.
Many businesses--galleries and antique shops, for example--routinely
work through consignment, and this can be a wonderful win-win
situation.
However, consignment requires a bit more bookkeeping from the retailer, and
some retailers have less incentive to sell consignment items, so it's not
for everyone.
But, if you have a consignment record-keeping system in place, and do
consignment sales with other vendors, we're
happy to work with you on that basis.
Here are our simple consignment policies:
- We ask that you treat our consignment CDs exactly as if they were
wholesale items, and play and display them for good sales.
- We ask that you establish some kind of regular reporting, based on
sales. We don't require weekly, or even monthly statements, but we do
expect regular reporting/paying, based on your sales.
- We will send you an easy record-keeping page so you can keep up with
sales and remittances.
- Consignment CDs prices are $8.25 per unit (which
INCLUDES shipping) and most shops retail them for $15 or more.
- To set up a consignment account, we need three consignment references.
- You get the same free sales aids--display dumps, demo CDs to play,
mini-posters, and point-of-purchase easels--as wholesale customers.
